The primary uses of Armod 150 are the treatment of excessive drowsiness in narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and obstructive sleep apnea patients (OSA). It belongs to the group of medications known as "eugeroics or wakefulness-promoting medicines" (SWD). Obstructive sleep apnea is characterised by frequent breathing pauses during sleep. Chronic sleep disorder narcolepsy renders a person very drowsy during the day. Shift work sleep disorder is characterised by difficulty falling asleep or being too sleepy and is brought on by unusual work patterns such as graveyard shifts, early morning shifts, or rotational shifts.
Armodafinil, a type of "central nervous system (CNS) stimulant," is a component of pills. It functions by jolting the brain, which subsequently enhances the body's physiological and psychological functions. Armodafinil affects the amounts of a few specific chemical messengers required for the sleep cycle. As a result, it encourages vitality and alertness while minimising excessive sleepiness.
